Workshop Mechanical Fitter | Goodna, QLD

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in crushing equipment and a natural ability to lead others on the workshop floor?

MPS - Mineral Processing Solutions is looking for a skilled and hands-on Workshop Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Goodna, QLD.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys getting on the tools, has some Leading Hand experience and is confident working on crushing and screening equipment. You'll play an important role in supporting workshop operations, maintaining equipment and helping guide the team to get the job done safely and efficiently.

Working from our Goodna workshop, you'll be involved in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of crushing and screening equipment, while providing practical support and direction to other workshop team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carry out mechanical repairs, maintenance, servicing and rebuilds of crushing and screening equipment.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs.
• Assist with coordinating daily workshop activities and guiding team members.
• Perform general fitting, fabrication and basic boilermaking tasks as required.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Work closely with the workshop team to meet operational deadlines.
  

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Previous experience working on crushers and crushing equipment – essential.
• Some previous Leading Hand or team leadership experience.
• Basic boilermaking, welding or fabrication experience.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and support others in a busy workshop.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Current driver's licence.
  

• Up to $55.00 / hour base rate plus overtime, depending on experience
  
• Permanent, full-time position based in Goodna, QLD.
• Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 4:00 pm.
  
• Occasional weekend work as required.
